Machine Translation Post-Editor for Regional Language Variants

Description

Review and correct machine-translated adaptations based on source content written in the same language but in a different variant. Ensure the final text is accurate, natural, and correctly adapted to the target language variant by applying its specific vocabulary, grammar, linguistic conventions, and language rules. Content may include general news, social media posts, transcripts from news programs, medical publications, and financial or business documents. The purpose is to populate a Machine Translation engine for training and automatic translation.

Language pairs

You start from text in one regional variant of your language and adapt it into the variant you speak natively. Apply for your native variant.

• Arabic: from U.A.E. Arabic into Egyptian, Gulf, Hejazi, Jordanian, Lebanese, Najdi, Palestinian or Syrian Arabic
• German: from German (Germany) into Austrian or Swiss German
• Spanish: from Spanish (Spain) into Chilean, Mexican or U.S. Spanish
• French: from French (France) into Belgian, Canadian or Swiss French
• Italian: from Italian (Italy) into Swiss Italian
• Dutch: from Dutch (Netherlands) into Belgian Dutch
• Portuguese: from Brazilian Portuguese into European Portuguese

Requirements

• Native-level proficiency in the target language and excellent command of the source language
• Experience in the translation or localization fields (studies or working experience)
• Good communication skills
• Ability to deliver quality work on time

Compensation

Paid per word, in USD. The rate depends on the language pair.
